Bloomsbury to publish Al Gore follow up

Bloomsbury is to publish former American vice-president and Nobel laureate Al Gore’s next title Our Choice, following An Inconvenient Truth, which was made into an Oscar-winning film. Our Choice will be published on 3rd November by Bloomsbury in the UK and other publishers worldwide and will draw on Gore’s "40 years of experience as student, policymaker, author, film-maker, entrepreneur and activist to comprehensively describe the real solutions to global warming", according to the publisher.
It will also use independent research and the conclusions drawn from the more than 30 "Solutions Summits" Gore has held with scientists, engineers and policy experts.Gore said: "Now that the need for urgent action is even clearer with the alarming new findings of the last three years, it is time for a comprehensive global plan that actually solves the climate crisis. Our Choice will answer that call."

As with An Inconvenient Truth, the entire proceeds of the book will go to the Alliance for Climate Protection.

Bloomsbury chairman Nigel Newton said: "Bloomsbury is proud to continue its relationship with Al Gore. We were delighted to publish An Inconvenient Truth in the UK and Commonwealth, and very much look forward to bringing Our Choice to the widest possible audience of people worldwide who are seeking solutions to the climate change crisis.”
