Blitzen Christmas: the Booksellers NZ List of what books to read and buy this Christmas

In the spirit of the traditional Yuletide list, your hard working Christmas elves at Booksellers NZ (hic) have compiled a jamboree of bookselling talent to tell you, dear reader, what books to line your Santa sack with this December.

We can’t promise the list of books below is naughty or nice or even a fair representation of NZ and international titles, but we can promise you that the books have been chosen by a range of expert booksellers from indies and chains alike. We believe this particular ensemble of books is the most diverse and madly brilliant list of the year, but then we have been hitting the eggnog pretty hard.If you are looking for suggestions of what to read by real booksellers working in real bookstores (rather than suggested by the algorithms of a megalomaniac online enterprise) then visit your local bookstore. If you want to read our extra-special magical Christmas list of favourite books chosen by NZ booksellers, then without further ado…
